Hello, I’m Ray Mills, an aspiring author specializing in Science Fiction and Crime Genres. (I confess to adding a touch of romance to my writing). As Mr. Hemingway’s quote points out, I find myself in esteemed company — among writers with humble skills dedicated to honing their craft and providing entertainment. Throughout my professional career, I consistently found joy in regular reading, a practice that correlated with my sense of well-being. The more I read, the better I seemed to feel. I also discovered my latent desire to write. Regrettably, the demands of my career, life, and a struggle with imposter syndrome kept me from putting “pen to paper”.
Motivated by the user-friendly website construction software and my confidence in storytelling, I embarked on creating this website. I hope readers won’t experience any disappointment. With an extensive professional background spanning over 25 years as an Accountant, Auditor, and Data Miner at J.P. Morgan, I endeavor to infuse my writing with the wealth of experiences and insights gained throughout my career.
Unlike the countless static websites, I intend to have this website be a living creature I will update regularly. I have a tiny advantage in that I am comfortable creating WordPress websites. Time will tell us how I do.
